Who volunteers?

There is no such thing as a typical volunteer.  All sorts of people volunteer for all sorts of reasons. As long as you have time to give......

You might be a student with some time to spare – a great way to get some practical experience on your CV.

Or are you retired and have some time to give for a very good cause? Volunteering is not only very satisfying, it has a great social side too.

Parents who have time on their hands during the day while the children are at school often volunteer.

Whatever your employment status – you can get a lot from volunteering too. Those who are currently unemployed can volunteer to learn and develop skills or to build confidence in the work place again. Even if you work – full or part time, if you have time to give, there are a number of volunteering opportunities that can fit around your work.
