The Economic Squeeze - An Appeal from our General Manager

Can you spare £1 towards helping us to provide hospice and respite services for the children of Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield please? In this very difficult time for us all, the financial squeeze is being felt here at the Trust.

The need for us to continue raising funds to provide these services is as strong as ever and so, I am appealing for your help.

How much will it cost?

  • We need to raise £3.1 million to build our Centre in Brackenhall. A donation now will help us to buy the ‘bricks and mortar’ needed to start the build.
  • It will then cost at least £1.5 million each year to run the service.

Looking after the Pennies

We work very hard to keep our administration and running costs as low as possible and regularly review how we spend money as we strive to make it!

Some of the ways in which we reduce our running costs:

  • We have moved to more economic office space.
  • We constantly review and compare prices that we are charged for equipment and services.
  • Where at all possible, we look to work with sponsors who will give us the funds to pay for a particular item. These include the costs of equipment, staff time, event sponsorship and newsletter printing and distribution.

We are never complacent about how we spend any of the money that is raised.

Can you spare £1 to help the work of the Trust?

If you feel you are able to help, please make a donation today. Every £1 donated will be gratefully received.

If you are able to donate more or would like to talk to us about sponsorship opportunities, please give us a call. We will be very happy to talk with you.

On behalf of all the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust team, I would like to thank you for your help. Please remember, every penny counts.

Thank you.
