Aims and objectives

The aim of the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust is to provide care and support for children with life-limiting conditions.  Those children and their families will be from the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield areas of West Yorkshire.

The trust is currently raising funds to build a house for respite, emergency and end of life care, in Huddersfield.

We need to raise over £3million to build the centre.  It is then anticipated that the running costs of the facility will exceed £1.5 million per year.

Community based care teams providing services to children in their own homes will also be part of what we do, as will bereavement support to help during the incredibly difficult time when a child passes away.

The West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust will provide all of these services 365 days per year, completely free of charge, to everyone in our communities, irrespective of social, cultural or religious backgrounds.

We are incredibly driven to achieve our objectives.  We have already made excellent progress and are well on our way to delivering such vital services.

Our totaliser will keep you informed of how we are doing and if you think there is any way in which you can help us we would love to hear from you.
